You Owe It to You

When it comes to life, we are constantly searching for purpose.

Whether it be a family, high power, community, you name it, there are plenty of external pressures you can use to motivate and push yourself. These are essential motivators in life but they do come with a downside. You end up with too much outside dependence and may go through times when you feel like a disappointment.

This is why I find it important to establish your own inner voice that is your biggest supporter.

To start, outside factors don’t truly know what you are going through down to the core and therefore can’t reliably give you the push that you need at every moment. This can be incredibly frustrating for both sides.

They may feel that you aren’t appreciative while you wonder to yourself “are they even really listening to what I’m going through?”

Do you know who does know what you are going through though? Do you know who is there for every struggle, whether it be internal or external?

That’s right.

It’s you.

Make it a challenge to yourself to be both your best friend and your biggest critic. Love yourself no matter the lows you go through. Push yourself no matter how big you make it.

Also, make sure you are taking at least 10 minutes a day to be with yourself in silence. Take in all your successes and struggles so that you can keep pushing yourself forward.

YOU owe it to YOU.
